About BodyTalk Noosa
"Wellbeing is a skill."
My passion for health started in my teenage years - particularly the complex nature of the body mind, emotional states, spiritual awareness and the role of nutrition in maintaining good health. And importantly, how we have innate power to help overcome many of our own health issues. It was my own personal experience with long term food allergies and subsequent sessions with a BodyTalk practitioner, that drew my attention to the possibilities of complementary health modalities.
My awareness of our complex inner space, immediate surroundings and the broader global environment allows a unique relationship to develop with my clients. In this shared experience, I find connection and healing.
"Helping clients to become more aware
of the innate healing wisdom within..."
Encouraging the understanding that our body and mind can be capable of healing on all levels. Shining the light on the situation is the first step towards healing.
My knowledge, wisdom and experience can help you and support you in the process of change and healing and living the best life possible.

"BodyTalk is about realigning to health
rather than treating disease."
The BodyTalk system was developed in 1995 by Dr John Veltheim. BodyTalk is now taught in 37 countries around the world to doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, chiropractors, naturopaths, acupuncturists, nurses, licensed massage therapists and allied health practitioners. The global success of BodyTalk comes from the outstanding results it achieves, both as a stand alone modality and as a complimentary therapeutic tool that is safe and non-invasive.
What is BodyTalk?
It is a mind body based medicine that takes into account the effect of the mind on the physical processes of the body including the effects of psychosocial stressors and conditioning. BodyTalk works with the influence of our psychology, mood, emotions and belief systems on our physical health. It is an integrative modality that weaves together the anatomy and physiology of Western medicine with the understandings of the body from Chinese medicine, Ayurvedic medicine, quantum physics and biophysics.
How does it work?
BodyTalk uses four key tools to establish and activate a prioritised and individual treatment for each client, using a comprehensive and integrative map of the body and mind; a specific language to navigate around the map; a neuromuscular feedback technique to get yes/no information that allows the practitioner to recognise the priorities that arise; a light tapping on the head, sternum and navel to activate the brain, the elecromagnetic field of the heart and the enteric (gut) brain to access the intelligence at the core of your deepest identity.
BodyTalk is cumulative
Because your body stores the changes made by the brains during the tapping process, this means that every formula or circuit that is corrected builds on the one before. Your body actually remembers the BodyTalk sessions it receives and your healing process will continue with each additional session you have.
Is BodyTalk for me?
If you know that you want positive change in your immediate and overall health or the health of your children & family, and you are committed to making that happen you are ready for BodyTalk.
How many sessions of BodyTalk do I need?
BodyTalk sessions are easy, safe and comfortable. A session usually last between 30 – 45 minutes. The length of session is not indicative of the quality of the session or the results that occur, as even the simplest sessions can be quite profound. The bodymind knows just how many changes it is ready to initiate in any given session. And when you may need to return for a follow-up session.
As a general guide three sessions usually provide a good foundation to work from and are often all that is needed to address a specific problem or to feel a positive change in wellbeing.
Maintaining your health requires a commitment
Like routinely servicing your car, BodyTalk provides maintenance for your body and mind when used regularly. It's a good idea to follow up periodically (more often if you are experiencing increased stress) to keep the focus and momentum of a healthy bodymind blueprint …and to feel good.
Reiki is a form of energetic healing, based on the principle of Universal Life Energy or Qi. Energy is transmitted as healing energy from one person to another. This can be achieved by distance, using intention, or during a face to face session. The word Reiki is made up of two Japanese words - Rei meaning 'god's wisdom or higher power' and Ki meaning 'life force energy'.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is based on the principle of Universal Life Energy or Qi. This energy is all around us and each of us can channel it. Reiki works to enhance the body’s natural healing ability and does not involve physical manipulation. It works with the subtle energy field around the body and within the body – the chakras. The practitioner uses a healing intent and specific placement of hands either directly on or just above the body, which bring healing energy to body tissues, organs and glands.
Pulsing magnetic fields from the hands of Reiki therapists are in the same frequency ranges that are optimal for stimulating tissue repair. Healing energy is energy of a particular frequency or set of frequencies that stimulates the repair of one or more tissues. When client and practitioner are working together the two are synchronised by a common vibration or frequency level.
Compassion and loving intention
The heart generates the largest electrical and magnetic field in the body. The practitioner focuses on compassion and loving intention, which amplify the magnetic field, producing a certain frequency spectrum of the electrical signals of the heart and affects the cells of the body in a beneficial way. Following a typical Reiki session people report feeling revitalised, calmer, more balanced, more mentally clear. They may also experience emotional and physical release of blocks or tension.
"Reiki is spiritually guided life force energy."
"Your healing journey is a journey towards wholeness that requires an holistic approach to healthcare."
Your Healing Journey
"For our healing journey, which is ultimately a journey toward wholeness, means and end cannot serve separate goals. Alternative and complimentary medicine, by paying attention to subtler, potentially more creative aspects of ourselves, tends to bridge our separateness from the whole. Most complementary healers practice tangled hierarchy in their relationship with their patients. They also listen. You and your practitioner then become a self-referential unit - such a unit has value. It enables you together to sometimes take creative quantum leaps of healing."
Amit Goswami - The Quantum Doctor.
